He’s been awarded 93 worldwide patents, and was Inc. Magazine Entrepreneur of the Year, CNBC Innovator of the Decade, a Davos World Economic Forum Tech Pioneer, and inducted into the RIT Innovation Hall of Fame. Kevin has held leadership roles with Serious Energy, Perfect Commerce, CommerceNet and General Magic and is credited with pioneering work on AI virtual assistants, smartphones, QuietRock and the Empire State Building windows energy retrofit.

Vice President, Product

Kevin is a 30-year industry veteran and holder of four technology patents. Over the past several years, he has been crossing the globe working closely with analysts, the press, customers, partners, and employees to exchange ideas about industry direction and business issues. His specialties include DevOps, Agile Methods, Application Lifecycle Management, Release Management, Business Process Automation, Software Change and Configuration Management, Information Engineering, and Industry Best Practices.

Sergiy Bruskha

Vice President, Engineering

Sergiy brings over 25 years of software development experience in start-up, growth, and mature companies, with half of that time spent in leadership roles. He blends strong technical skills to scale SaaS and analytics product environments with enthusiasm for building strong teams.
Prior to joining Appvance, Sergiy served as VP of Engineering at Talix and Content Analytics. As Head of Engineering, QA and DevOps, he led an organization of 70+ engineers working globally.

Jennifer Miksch

Vice President, Sales

Jennifer brings over 25 years of expertise in sales, business development, and account management to her role at Appvance.  Prior to Appvance, Jennifer was the VP of Business Development at Syntriq Health Solutions, where she spearheaded the company’s accelerated sales growth, culminating in the closure of the largest deal in Syntriq’s history. Jennifer also held key roles as VP of Business Development for Advocatia and VP of Sales at PointCare,  where she achieved 160% growth, year over year, for net new business.

Erica Stuart

Director, Marketing

Erica is a seasoned technology marketer, bringing over 17 years experience in managing new and existing marketing programs for a wide-range of technology companies.  She specializes in building new marketing strategies, launching new products, developing content and overseeing the overall marketing infrastructure.  She has worked with many early to mid stage start-up companies, where she has built lead-generation programs, developed messaging and brand stories, and implemented tools and programs to support growth objectives.

Matthew Kwong

Controller

Matt joins Appvance with over a decade of accounting and startup finance experience. His strong professional foundation as a CPA at PwC has been the jumping-off point for his fast growth as a technology finance leader. At Appvance, he is responsible for all finance and accounting operations and processes.

Noah Doyle

Managing Director, Javelin Venture Partners

Prior to forming Javelin Venture Partners, Noah served as an angel inestor, supporting over a dozen startups including Keyhole (acquired by Google), Cantametrix (Gracenote), Amae Software (Verint), Nuvon, Ritter Natural Sciences, GET IT Mobile and Magnacash (Yaga). He holds MBA and BA Economics degrees, as well as certificates in Management of Technology and Global Management, from the University of California, Berkeley. Noah’s board memberships include Appvance, Bernoulli Health, Correlated Magnetics, Estimote, Nexenta, Pixalate, and Vacatia.

Kevin Kern

Enterprise Software Leader

Kevin Kern is CEO of WaterSmart Software, and a board member of iWave Information Systems and GoWall, in addition to Appvance.ai. Previously, he held senior leadership positions with Innotas, a leading provider of IT Portfolio Management systems, including as CEO from 2010 through 2016. Kevin also spent 13 years in sales and sales management with Oracle.

He is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley with a BA in Political Science.

Thomas Oh

Partner, Arrowroot Capital

As a Partner at Arrowroot Capital, Thomas is responsible for various facets of the firm including operations, deal due diligence, and monitoring portfolio companies.

Prior to Arrowroot, Thomas worked at Pacific Crest Securities in its software investment banking group and at B. Riley & Co. in its generalist investment banking group. He is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley with a BS in Business Administration.

Andrew DeYoung

Vice President, Kayne Anderson

Andrew is Director of Business Development and Operations for Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors’ growth equity activities. He works closely with the partners overseeing and managing fundraising processes and business development efforts at both the fund and individual portfolio companies. He is involved in identifying and analyzing investment opportunities, monitoring portfolio companies, and board oversight with select companies. He supports Kayne NewRoad Ventures Fund and monitors Kayne’s earlier stage growth companies.

CEO, TRI HoldCo, Inc.

Kurt Lee is the CEO of TRI HoldCo, Inc. and is responsible for strategic investing of its excess Capital.  Kurt sits on several boards and is a seasoned financial professional with over 30 years of experience.
